Promises Made, Promises Kept

$5,000,000 reasons to vote for Chris Watts.

As your Cerro Gordo County District 3 Supervisor since 2016 (now District 1), I have delivered on all my campaign promises.

I’m asking for your vote now in 2020 to keep this momentum moving forward.

Already accomplished:

  • Spearheaded efforts to reorganize our county mental health service. Withdrew County from old failing network to join much more efficient system with better services (Central Iowa Community Service). The saving are already over $1,000,000 in the first year.

  • Eliminated the excessive retirement program, saving the County taxpayers over $4,000,000.

  • Lowered County tax levy five years in a row!

  • Improved the County infrastructure, roads, bridges, culverts, drainage districts.

  • Refused every pay rise during my time in office.

  • I do my homework with thorough research and preparation for each issue and meeting.

  • Attend all Supervisor, County Conservation, Board of Adjustment, and North Iowa Fair Board meetings in past 5 1/2 years.

  • On the Board of Directors for the North Iowa Children’s Alliance

Future plans:

  • Continue to lower tax levy while improving levels of County Services.

  • Pursue plans to consolidate and relocate county entities to a single site.

  • Honor commitment to term limits. (Max of 3)

  • Review County lease/rental agreements and contracts to protect taxpayer interests.

  • Continue to support clean energy and clean waterway initiatives.
